Not being a member of <a title=\"Warsaw Pact\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Warsaw_Pact\" target=\"_blank\">Warsaw Pact<\/a>, communist Yugoslavia had more liberal system than the rest of East European countries. But specially after <a title=\"Josip Broz Tito\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Josip_Broz_Tito\" target=\"_blank\">Josip Broz Tito<\/a> died in 1980, his uncharismatic successors were unable to maintain his firm grip on society.
